Frankland Islands Reef Cruises is an exclusive Cairns Great Barrier Reef Day tour. It starts with a picturesque drive from Cairns past ancient mountains and fields of cane followed by a tranquil river cruise. This leads to the shortest open water crossing in the region to put you right on the Great Barrier Reef. Destination is Normanby Island in the beautiful Frankland Islands National Park Island group. Surrounded by vibrant fringing reefs, it’s home to many species of marine life, including turtles, octopus and the ever-popular anemone clownfish, Nemo. You have up to 5.5 hours to explore and enjoy this natural paradise, above and below the water. Your day includes coach transfers from Cairns CBD accommodation, a guided Great Barrier Reef snorkel tour, Semi submarine tour, guided island and foreshore walk and buffet lunch. Optional activities include adventure snorkel safari or grab a kayak or stand-up paddle board and explore. The only commercial operator with a permit to visit these pristine, uninhabited islands.

- Medical conditions may prevent guest from Snorkelling.
- As there are no paved walkways on the island, guests need to be able to walk up to 100 metres on sand and navigate stairs on board the vessel. Unfortunately, this tour is not suitable for guests using wheelchairs.
NOTE:
- At certain times of the year, departure will be affected by extreme low tides. On these occasions, departure will be later than 08:30am and return later. The total length of the day tour is unaffected. Passengers will be advised at the time of booking.
