Between June and October, more than 35,000 humpback whales migrate along Australia’s East Coast and the waters off the Gold Coast and Byron Bay offer one of the most extraordinary ways to meet them. Led by expert marine guides, guests' journey aboard a purpose-built vessel designed for close, ethical encounters with these gentle giants. Premium snorkelling gear, wetsuits, and full safety briefings ensure the experience is both respectful and unforgettable. Departing early to catch calm seas, the morning follows the whales’ natural rhythm from quiet surface observation to potential soft in-water interactions. The experience concludes with a relaxed coastal lunch, rounding out a day defined by wonder and connection to the ocean.

06:00 - Arrival at marina, meet marine team, change into wetsuits
06:30 - Swim briefing and in-water whale swim begins (surface and snorkel encounters)
10:30 - Return to shore, shower and change
11:00 - Lunch at beachfront restaurant
13:00 - Return transfer and drop-off at accommodation.
