Itinerary:
Valid for 01APR26-31MAR27:
7.30am, Arrive at Penguin Island Visitor Centre. The team will provide a selection of wetsuits and snorkeling equipment and conduct a safety briefing. 8.00am, A short stroll from the briefing area and you will board the purpose-built snorkel vessel at Mersey Point Jetty. 8.00am - 12pm, you will explore the sheltered waters of Shoalwater Island Marine Park Sanctuary, with the vessel safely anchoring or tying up to selected moorings. Best spots will be selected on the day dependent on weather and wildlife activity. Enjoy gourmet platters during the tour, most likely between 11-11.30am. 12pm, Arrive back at Mersey Point Jetty where the team will take care of your snorkeling equipment and wave goodbye. Make your way to outdoor showers behind the Visitor Centre to rinse away the salt or go inside and see the team to book your
ferry transfer to Penguin Island. Tour Discover the spectacular Shoalwater Islands Marine Park Sanctuary on this unforgettable wildlife and snorkeling cruise. Just off the coast of Rockingham, this protected marine haven is home to dolphins, sea lions, penguins, seabirds, and an incredible variety of marine life waiting to be explored. A Wild Marine Encounter Step aboard the comfortable, purpose-built vessel as you
journey through turquoise waters to the best snorkeling spots. With limestone reefs, rocky outcrops, and colorful seagrass meadows, you’ll experience the marine park both above and below the surface. Keep your eyes peeled for Playful Bottlenose Dolphins gliding alongside the boat. Australian Sea Lions rare and curious often spotted lounging or darting playfully in the shallows. Seabirds including pelicans, terns, gulls and birds of prey circling above. Rich underwater life from vibrant fish and starfish to sponges, molluscs, and the occasional sea turtle. Guided Snorkeling with Experts All snorkeling gear is provided including wetsuits, masks, fins, and flotation devices so you can dive right in. The experienced crew are passionate ocean guides, focused on both safety and environmental care. The guides will help you get comfortable in the water, share fascinating insights about the park’s ecosystems, and point out the day’s best wildlife sightings. Relax and Indulge after your adventure you will then return to Mersey Point Jetty where your day concludes with a gourmet grazing platter, featuring fresh seasonal produce.
