Immerse yourself in Sydney’s rich Aboriginal history, with stories spanning thousands of years to today. Guided by your Climb Leader and First Nations Storyteller, journey to the top of the iconic Harbour Bridge via the Summit Climb route. This unique experience offers breathtaking views of Warrane / Sydney Harbour, paired with stories of the Gadigal people and Australia’s First Peoples. Burrawa an Aboriginal word meaning ‘above’ or ‘upwards’ adds a deeper layer of meaning to your experience. Climbers will be invited to view Sydney from an Aboriginal perspective, looking down on the shores where Patyegarang taught William Dawes the language of Sydney. Along the way, you’ll discover the origins of familiar place names around the harbour, including Bennelong Point and Barangaroo.

- One paying adult climber (accompanying adult) must accompany every 3 climbers between the age of 8 to 15 years inclusive.
- Form to be completed by a parent or a guardian for children aged between 8-15 years old.
Important Information:

- Health and Safety is vitally important; In light of this, contact details of all climbers must be supplied to BridgeClimb Sydney at the time of booking.
- Important health and safety guidelines will be relayed to Climbers prior to their Climb, including a declaration form that climbers are required to complete.
- If climbers arrive and are unable to Climb due to not meeting the health and safety criteria, BridgeClimb will not be held liable for any credit or refund requested.
- Guidelines include but not limited to: If climbers are under 24 weeks pregnant, they can Climb with a BridgeClimb Certificate of Fitness signed by their GP. The form can be downloaded on the BridgeClimb website and must be brought with them on the day. Please note: The Certificate of Fitness must have been completed within the last 3 months prior to the Climb date).
- If climbers are more than 24 weeks pregnant, unfortunately they cannot climb.
- If climbers are 75 years of age, or older, they can Climb with a BridgeClimb Certificate of Fitness provided by their GP. The form can be downloaded on the BridgeClimb website and must be brought with them on the day. Please note: The Certificate of Fitness must have been completed within the last 3 months prior to the Climb date).
- Climbers must have a blood-alcohol reading below 0.05 to climb (the same as driving in New South Wales, Australia).
- We do our best to help everyone Climb, however there are some things that will prevent your client from participating, including: A fit or seizure in the last six months, broken bones, being more than 24 weeks pregnant, being under 8 years of age, being under 1.2 metres tall.
- All Climbers need to be at least 1.2 meters tall. The minimum age to Climb is 8 years old.
- BridgeClimb provide secure lockers for climbers to keep their belongings in while they are on the Climb.
- For safety and security reasons, cameras, video technology, mobile devices, jewellery, watches and other loose items are prohibited on the Climb. The Climb Leaders are multi-talented as well as exceptional tour guides. They are also trained to capture photos of clients during their Climb.
- BridgeClimb is an all-weather activity, and clients will be equipped with all outdoor gear, based on the day’s weather conditions. In extreme weather, climbs may be postponed.
- If any climbers are showing any symptoms of COVID 19 or the Flu, they may be refused entry to BridgeClimb.
- Every 3 children aged 8-15 years inclusive must be accompanied by one adult participant on all climbs.
- Operating hours may change as demand dictates.
- All adult climbers (16 years, or older) will need to bring with them a photo ID, and they must use the same name on the form as their ID.
