Guests are collected from their Exmouth accommodation at approximately 7.00am, where they meet their guide and begin the journey along the Ningaloo Coast into Cape Range National Park. Along the way, the Ningaloo Coast gradually reveals itself in flashes of turquoise water, fringing reef and wild coastal scenery, while the rugged limestone spine of the mighty Cape Range rises nearby. The drive itself forms part of the experience, with opportunities to spot local wildlife along the way. Before long, you make your way into one of the spectacular gorges that dissect this ancient landscape, where the day’s adventure truly begins. Exploring limestone ridgelines high above the range reveals sweeping views across the Ningaloo Coast and reef below. Morning tea is enjoyed in a remarkable setting and, during migration season, there is often the chance to spot humpback whales passing along the reef far below. The experience then continues deeper into the gorge, where a picnic lunch is served beneath the shade of a Cape Range kurrajong. Surrounded by the sights, scents and stillness of the national park, this is a chance to slow down and fully immerse yourself in the landscape. After returning to the vehicle for refreshments, the day continues to Sandy Bay for a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters of the Ningaloo lagoon and time to unwind on one of the coast’s most beautiful beaches. Conditions permitting, there may also be time to visit other special places along the way depending on the season and guest interests. The return journey to Exmouth takes in more spectacular coastal scenery, including the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse precinct, before guests are returned to their accommodation in the afternoon. As this is a private charter, the day can be tailored to include more walking, swimming or scenic exploration depending on guest interests, pace and conditions. Your day. Your pace. Your adventure.~~~~ |
