Wine and art. A match made in the proverbial. Moorilla used to just be a winery, then a gambler called David filled the place with art and antiquities. Once he ran out of room, he built a museum to hold it all, called Mona. In the process, Moorilla got a spiffy state-of-the-art winery, and this experience is all about showing you the whole shebang. You’ll start by sailing from Hobart to Mona on one of their super-flash ferries (featuring onboard bars if you want to get the wine flowing early). Once you land you’ll begin your self-guided exploration of the museum and grounds—working up an appetite for a delicious lunch of fresh, locally sourced produce in one of our on-site restaurants (featuring a matched Moorilla wine). Fed and watered, you’ll meet with your expert Moorilla host, who’ll walk you down to the vineyard, covering the rich history of Moorilla and the finer points of our winemaking techniques as you go. The stroll will wind up back at the sun-drenched Moorilla cellar door, where you’ll settle in for some further tasting of the Moorilla range, before heading back to Hobart on the early evening 05:00pm ferry. ITINERARY: 09:15am, catch the ferry from Hobart to Mona (departs from Brooke Street Pier) 09:45am, arrive at Mona and explore the museum 12:30pm, one-course lunch with a glass of Moorilla wine 03:30pm, Moorilla vine walk and tasting 05:00pm, return to Hobart on the ferry.~~~~

Wine and art. A match made in the proverbial. Moorilla was founded as a winery (and one of Tasmania’s oldest, at that), but the site is now also home to the world-famous Museum of Old and New Art—Mona. This full day lets you explore the best of both. Begin the day by sailing from Hobart to Mona on one of the super-flash fast ferries.
On arrival, you can explore the museum and grounds until it’s time for lunch at The Source Restaurant—itself a temple to wine and long the culinary home of Moorilla—for a two-course lunch of delicious fresh, locally sourced produce and a matched Moorilla wine. Once you’re done there, you’ll indulge in the Moorilla deep dive, a small-group tour where you’ll explore the ins and outs of the winery before heading to the underground tasting room for a comprehensive tasting of the Moorilla range. After that, the afternoon is yours to spend as you like: settle in with a wine at the wine bar; explore the galleries further; lounge on the lawns and take in some music; the choice is yours.
Whatever you pick, you’ll return to Hobart on the 5pm ferry, full to the brim with wine and art. Itinerary: 10.15am: Catch the ferry from Hobart to Mona (departs from Brooke Street Pier) 10.45am: Arrive at Mona and explore the museum and grounds 12.30pm: Two-course lunch with a glass of Moorilla wine 2.00pm: Moorilla Deep Dive - not exclusive 5pm:
